Revisit experience on stage

It has been 18 years since I last performed on stage. I have already forgotten the excitement and uneasiness each time I have to do that when I was young. This time I actually did it at 31 yo. It is a mix of excitement, proud and nervousness inside me. Revisitting such an experience at different level in my life was utterly brilliant and refreshing. The performance was played by a group of guitar class students and we played five classical songs together. I am happy with the play and we were all having fun on the stage. We just played as a regular practice session. The last song was played in fullness as everybody knew it was a last song. I actually enjoyed the last piece of music. In the end the audience was delighted and giving a loud applaud. The experience was again unforgettable and sweet. I don't see myself not to do it again...

Raining Day...

Haven't had the time to sit down and relax for a while... Last night, I promised myself to just do nothing on my day off, Spring rain is always wonderful... it's cleanses the dust accumulated from last year, wash away the dirt and stagnant energy.

Today is a special day, with a cup of hot chai with Jane Moheit's CD... the raining day breath something new into my life. As if all the unhappiness and dissappointment were never there in a first place. Michael was rubbing my leg... I gave him a pet on his head, to hear him purr and tail hang up high, I know he's a happy cat. it's amazing how this rain can make me feel so wonderful.
I'm never satisfy with my own yard work... where's the art and beauty in it - does it really require a lot of money? but for sure, at the beginning I've spent plenty of time trying to straighten up everything. Now, I'm 1/2 retire from it, coz I've found a part-time servant from home :P not exactly, he does complaints a lot though... -___-" But I see something different today, a new energy, something fresh is budding! some of them bloom incredibly, especially the lavender... the flower buds are everywhere~ atriums are growing! cone flower came back after winter.

This is not a gloomy raining day... it smells fresh, and I know all is going well.. all is well..

Deceived

There were times when I was so naive to the reality of this capitalism. I thought I was smart with a master degree. I was so wrong. I don't know how to observe and react to people who have bad intention. Ideally people should treat everybody with respect and truthfulness. How could a person always has bad ideas in his/her mind? I am totally disgusted if I find out my friend who likes to use me. It hurts my feeling for being stupid of knowing him/her for that long. As for a stranger who deceives me, I will blame myself for being naive and greedy. Greed is a devil who is always around me. There are people who like to take advantage of somebody. They come out with idea to lure "naive and greedy" person into the trap. From the experience, I should be careful in the future and knowing how to say "NO" to reject these liars. Or at least, I need to stand strong on my ground and never give in.

Michael was sick...

Michael's got sick during our 7-days trip to Arizona. We found out that he's got diarrhea when cleaning up its stool. However, his appetite are still good. We took him to the vet when his stool smell really bad and messed up the floor. He didn't get any better after his 1st visit from vet, he has lost the appetite and started to vomit. 2nd visit still didn't get any better after noticing his constipation problem. It lasted for 4 days that he didn't eat much, no stool, and he didn't respond positively to any medication. He is getting skinner and he lost about 1.5lbs. It worried us as Michael didn't react to any of his favorite Petromalt or catnip. He totally lost the sense of taste. In the end, the vet fed him with canned food and he ate a lot. We fed him one canned food in the night and he finished it. The next day, he stopped eating again. Why ? He's got stomach full of food that he can't digest and he's having nausea. Sze Min looked up websites trying to figure out what to do to help Michael. She bought a herbal product that would cure diarrhea. We fed him that and he threw up immediately. He felt much better since then and we fed him canned food a little bit every couple of hours. His appetite returns to normal. Since then Michael has returned to his normal routine to eat, play, meow and poo. Even though we were worried and spent $$$ on the medication, we learned how much responsibility if Michael was our own child. The mental and emotion of being a parent requires a lot more passions and experience. We are not trained to become a parent and would never learn it well until we experience it one day. The lesson learn is to face the problem positively, look into it patiently, understand it thoroughly, and react to it passionately. The outcome is out of your control but the least we can do is to try the best you can, never blame for anything in the later time. Experience will help fine tune ones skill.

Break

Economic downturn impacted majority of people with unprecedented dismay. I felt the punch quite deeply. My recovery is slow but showing progress. I have learnt the lessons and I'm ready to give it another shot. Besides that, the company annouced mandory 10 days off in March which I have been looking forward to getting a break. We're planning to go to Arizona & NM while Sze Min is taking a one-day class there. I am happy that she is excited for the class.
The break has started with a busy weekend with a friend visiting in town, visitting Nasher Sculture Center and DMA. A hottub retreat was prepared by Sze Min the following day. The stress level has gone down so much and surprisingly I have no problem go to bed and wake up early. My sleeping habit is changed in opposite way during the working days. I felt so much compulsion to go to work with dragging feet. I still work smart and hard as being a responsible employee but the inner side of me shows unhappiness and tense. The truly self of me likes to work in intellectual field, exchange idea/finding with one/two colleagues frequently, research idea innovatively, and am able to schedule my time in good pace. I have no problem to work hard and stay up in long working hour. In the contrary, I do not like to work as being instructed in daily basis and working for somebody who is lack of technical/management skill. I usually look up on somebody who is more knowledgeable and despise person who is lazy and like kissing ass. I have experienced many different occasions. I still learn to read people and discover my potential. The above observations have been clear to me only when I am in stress-free level during writing session.
This is the second day of my break, I sense many good things lying ahead of me. I know my 2nd brother is expecting a baby today, the stock in pre-market session is looking good on financial institution and I have a long day to indulge myself with good food, sport and reading materials...

24 hours after Raphael left the house

After Star adopted Raphael and left, the house became so calm and quiet. We immediately did a clean-up on the floor and carpet which he pooed and peed. the house smelt so good now and I am very relieved. I miss Raphael but I just couldn't stand him messing up the house. On the other hand, Michael was curious and cautious to walk around the house and looking for Raphael. He felt more relaxed after he didn't see Raphael and its tail stood upright wagging. He kept on searching and sniffing at each corner of the house and finally settled down knowing Raphael was gone. He started to meow, chase after the toy and eat comfortably. We're happy that Michael has become the old cat we used to live with. We definitely miss Raphael for the destiny to be with us. He let us touch, brush and clean him. The most important reason I like him is its playful enthustic. He is a very nice cat. As for Michael, we enjoy his company for all these years...We still think he's just like the main character in Michael's comic book. Cute, adventurous and coward. smile...

New comer to my house...Raphael

We adopted a new cat from a rescue center in San Antonio. Within a week after the application submitted we were so happy heading to the foster home to look at the cat. He was so friendly, lovable and playful. I like it when we've first seen him. He allows us to hug and massages his stomach which my older cat can never tolerate. So we drove him home and he was grumpy inside the cage for 4 hours. It's quite tiring for everybody indeed. We named it Raphael.

When Michael first seen Raphael, he was terrified with growling and hissing. He didn't like Raphael so much. Their personality is very different. One likes to be friendly with everybody and One is very cautious and takes long time to be comfortable. Raphael keeps approching Michael but Michael is very reluctant and always hide at the corner. We so sympathized Michael after noticing he has diarrea and stop eating his favorite food. Therefore we have to seprate the food/water/litter box in different room. It was quite tiring to accompany and entertain one cat after another everyday as both are not happy. Days passed by, Michael became more comfortable with Raphael but they still did not mingle together. One day, we realized Raphael was having diarrea because of stress too. We over-protected Michael and made Raphael feel uneasy. The situation became worse when he constantly dumped the poo on the carpet. We also figured he has been constantly peed at the corner of the house.

We have spent good portion of passion and love towards Michael and Raphael everyday. We keep thinking one day they will become good companion to each other. It appears there is much more things we have to tolerate and to be patient about for their relationship. In the end, we've decided to let Sze's friend to adopt Raphael. There is a mix of feeling how we felt for Raphael. He was so lovely and friendly but we have to let him go. But we think this would be better for both of them. Raphael needs companion and Michael needs space for himself. We felt bad everytime we have to separate them in a small room for a period of hours. We isolate them so that they can focus on eating and drinking without worrying somebody would attack them from behind. Initially, we thought Michael needs a companion and we wants him to learn to be more friendly and catly. All things that happened within this period of times have proved us wrong. We should just let him to be himself. He has been living independently and looks like this will last forever. The least we can do is to spend more time each day to play with him. As for Raphael, we will miss hime and we probably visit him once in a while.

It is a good experience for both Sze and me. It certainly makes us aware of how much commitment we need to promise for making every decision.
