After Star adopted Raphael and left, the house became so calm and quiet. We immediately did a clean-up on the floor and carpet which he pooed and peed. the house smelt so good now and I am very relieved. I miss Raphael but I just couldn't stand him messing up the house. On the other hand, Michael was curious and cautious to walk around the house and looking for Raphael. He felt more relaxed after he didn't see Raphael and its tail stood upright wagging. He kept on searching and sniffing at each corner of the house and finally settled down knowing Raphael was gone. He started to meow, chase after the toy and eat comfortably. We're happy that Michael has become the old cat we used to live with. We definitely miss Raphael for the destiny to be with us. He let us touch, brush and clean him. The most important reason I like him is its playful enthustic. He is a very nice cat. As for Michael, we enjoy his company for all these years...We still think he's just like the main character in Michael's comic book. Cute, adventurous and coward. smile...

New comer to my house...Raphael
We adopted a new cat from a rescue center in San Antonio. Within a week after the application submitted we were so happy heading to the foster home to look at the cat. He was so friendly, lovable and playful. I like it when we've first seen him. He allows us to hug and massages his stomach which my older cat can never tolerate. So we drove him home and he was grumpy inside the cage for 4 hours. It's quite tiring for everybody indeed. We named it Raphael.

When Michael first seen Raphael, he was terrified with growling and hissing. He didn't like Raphael so much. Their personality is very different. One likes to be friendly with everybody and One is very cautious and takes long time to be comfortable. Raphael keeps approching Michael but Michael is very reluctant and always hide at the corner. We so sympathized Michael after noticing he has diarrea and stop eating his favorite food. Therefore we have to seprate the food/water/litter box in different room. It was quite tiring to accompany and entertain one cat after another everyday as both are not happy. Days passed by, Michael became more comfortable with Raphael but they still did not mingle together. One day, we realized Raphael was having diarrea because of stress too. We over-protected Michael and made Raphael feel uneasy. The situation became worse when he constantly dumped the poo on the carpet. We also figured he has been constantly peed at the corner of the house.

We have spent good portion of passion and love towards Michael and Raphael everyday. We keep thinking one day they will become good companion to each other. It appears there is much more things we have to tolerate and to be patient about for their relationship. In the end, we've decided to let Sze's friend to adopt Raphael. There is a mix of feeling how we felt for Raphael. He was so lovely and friendly but we have to let him go. But we think this would be better for both of them. Raphael needs companion and Michael needs space for himself. We felt bad everytime we have to separate them in a small room for a period of hours. We isolate them so that they can focus on eating and drinking without worrying somebody would attack them from behind. Initially, we thought Michael needs a companion and we wants him to learn to be more friendly and catly. All things that happened within this period of times have proved us wrong. We should just let him to be himself. He has been living independently and looks like this will last forever. The least we can do is to spend more time each day to play with him. As for Raphael, we will miss hime and we probably visit him once in a while.
It is a good experience for both Sze and me. It certainly makes us aware of how much commitment we need to promise for making every decision.
