Sze told me that we can share the same blog. I thought this is totally awesome. We can share our opinions together. Sometimes, words are better off to express in writing than in conversation. It works better for me as I could pause and recall the sweat memory and write it down. I used to like writing since I was in high school. I felt that I can connect myself to the past and revisit the scene again. The busy life nowadays has changed me in many ways. There are so many interesting things to explore, especially with the internet that has open source sharing. Sometimes I really want to be alone, and keep writing. I know I will forget things in the past easily. So by writing in a blog, I hope I can recall my emotion at different time of my life.
Sze Min likes to make chifon cake and bakeries. I am the lucky one to be able to try everything, good or bad, and give critics. I really enjoy eating it. I love bakery. Imagine having a piece of cake every morning with a cup of hot Milo. That's what I started to have since 2009 before heading to work. I am tired of eating peanut butter on bread or oatmeal for the breakfast. I like to try something new and special frequently. It's probably related to my horoscope "Gemini" that Sze Min always reminding about - like changes and adventures.
Jackie, a colleague of Sze Min, brought some Philippines' delicacy cake from California. She is a Philippines' chinese, very sweet gal. We tried the sweet potato/yam and the mango cakes. They were really delicious and we like the sweet potato/yam better. I am so delighted when Sze Min started to make the same type of cake in next few days. It was very good indeed. The look, texture and taste are as good as the one from bakery shop. Hopefully Sze will continue to make another new cake. This week I am enjoying Coffee chifon cake.
We started to stay at home more often over the weekend recently. I really like to be home. Enjoying every corner of my house, decorations, watching my cat running here and there, surfing net, watching tv (Australian Open), just doing something totally different than work. It is truly nurturing and relaxing staying in a quiet house surrounding with trees.
